Master Lock has created a very innovative and convenient product that allows you to lock the ball mount into your trailer hitch. No more hitch pins and clips. Fits a standard 2 x 2 inch receiver and has a 4 inch drop. Slide the ball mount into place and the patented Python sidebar cylinder locks into place. Virtually unpickable, this system will certainly frustrate would-be thieves. All steel construction with powder-coated pewter finish for strong, corrosion-resistant use.

Best Uses

    Comments about Master Lock Locking Ballmount-4 in. Drop:

    This is a good product that is spoiled by having too many labels all over it. The labels function as the instructions, which is fine.

    However, the labels cover almost the entire ball mount and they do not peel off easily. If you want to take the labels off, you either have to use a solvent or spend an hour scraping the label off with your thumbnails.

    This certainly doesn't affect the performance, but it sure looks lousy and is a disappointment for a product that is otherwise well designed and thought out.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      Installs and removes in about 10 seconds. If your looking for something strong and easy to use, then this is the product for you. I have used a lot of hitches and locking mechanisms in the past but this has everything beat by far.
