Hitch-Mounted Bike Racks

Take your bikes across the country with a convenient and safe hitch-mounted bike rack. Bike racks are available in a variety of styles to accommodate two or more bikes.
Types of Racks |
Choosing the Right Receiver Size and Hitch Class
Every trailer hitch is designed with a particular receiver size and hitch class. It is important to choose a rack that is compatible with these. For instance, some bike racks are compatible with a 1-inch receiver notch, and others need a 2-inch receiver. The hitch class refers to the amount of weight the hitch can support. For optimal safety, never attempt to pull more weight than your hitch is designed to pull.
The Number of Bikes on the Bike Rack
Bike racks come in several sizes to accommodate up to five bikes. A general rule when choosing a hitch for your bike rack is that the Class 1 hitches are probably only going to handle a bike rack for 2 bikes. Too many bikes will exceed the weight capacity of the hitch. Bike racks that carry five bikes will need a hitch in a higher class, perhaps a Class 3 or Class 5.
Use bike racks for carrying bikes on vehicle hitches for convenience and a safe, secure transport.
