Putnam Hitch Round Bar Weight Distribution System is available in a 8,000 lb., 10,000 lb., or 12,000 lb. weight carrying capacity and has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 800 lbs., 1,000 lbs., or 1,200 lbs. The weight distribution system comes with everything you need, except for the Hitch Ball. When choosing your Hitch Ball, make sure it was designed for use in a weight distribution system and is rated to carry the maximum load of the weight distribution system. To get the most out of your Putnam Hitch LevelRide Weight Distribution System, make sure to add at least one LevelRide Reversible Sway Contol Unit.

When it comes to controlling a large trailer, nothing gives you the peace of mind like one of the LevelRide Weight Distribution Systems from Putnam Hitch. With three different "Round Bar" models and two different "Trunnion" styles, a LevelRide Weight Distribution System helps keep your load traveling level and under control.
Putnam Hitch's LevelRide Weight Distribution System's adjustable ball mount hitch head is designed to incorporate dual sway control or the flexibility to place a sway control unit on either side to accommodate your needs. Longer trailers handle significantly better when using dual sway control. The hitch head also features a reinforced hitch ball plate for greater strength.
A "relief area" is designed into the adjustable ball mount hitch head beneath the hitch ball hole. This allows for easier installation of the hitch ball and it allows you to use a socket and torque wrench to tighten the hitch ball.
The ambidextrous snap-up brackets "pin" from the top. This allows you to use either hand to lift and apply spring bar tension.
An advantage of having a Putnam Hitch LevelRide Trunnion Style Weight Distribution System is that it has low-profile spring bar release latches on the Trunnion adjustable ball mount hitch head. This feature along with a rise at the base of the hitch ball reduces the chances of trailer coupler contact.
The Putnam Hitch LevelRide Trunnion Style Weight Distribution System also utilizes the highest quality trunnion castings available. This traditional casting method is the one favored by RV dealers and hitch installers across the country.
